(Repost from my previous travel blog) Taiwan Kaohsiung July 2005

Wow... it's already an year since my last "on-my-own" trip to Kaohsiung!!!!
3-day-2-nite in Kaohsiung... on my own... my first time to Kaohsiung... to have my 1st presentation there... my 1st visit to Site!!

Kaohsiung not a lovely city to me... but i guess the South of Taiwan.. cities along the coast line would be much better... like Kenting...

My first day in Kaohsiung was a 'meeting' afternoon... very luckily that I met Englishman and Singaporean... they told me about places 'tourist' or 'foreigner' should go for meals... :P

My second working day there ended early n got a couple of hours 'exploring' the city of KH. I went for a 'wisdom trip'.. as described in the tourist map... i tried to visit the History Museum... but I was already late when I arrived there... so simply.... i took a pic with my phone... telling ppl that I had really stepped on the ground of it!! :P

Then I walked along the most famous 'sightseeing spot' -- the Love River! It's quite refreshing to a city gal like me... frankly, i've never walked along a river watching beautiful hotels / buildings the two sides of the river in HK! Though I heard of that the Love River at nite would be much prettier with light bulbs on! But the river in the dusk, with a little ray of red n orange light, that's quite romantic! :P esp. seeing old couples... the grannies holdings hands together walking along the river!!!!!!

oh.. yup! there's few "cafe" alongside... if i couldn't see the chinese, i won't recongise i were in taiwan! it's true... i bought a very "strange" drinks... the preserved plum juice... haha~ one word: STRANGE!

originally i'd like to head for the "Art District" with many sculptures and artists' warehouses but finally i was "distracted" to the Cinema Museum!!!!! :P there... i read many stories i was once told in Uni. by my Huma. Professors!!! Great experience... to me!

Walking is always my favourite hobby that I left this "artistic area" n walked to the shopping malls!!! On the way, I saw a beautiful church... the Rose Church.. it seemed to be one of the most famous churches in Taiwan....
